How accurate is this compared to other grip testers?
The Handexer is FDA registered and tested for accuracy within 0.1kg (0.2lbs). Whether you’re an athlete or fitness enthusiast, you’ll get consistent readings to track your strength gains over time.
Is this suitable for beginners or people with weaker hands?
Yes. The adjustable handle fits most hand sizes. You don’t need maximum strength to operate it—any firm squeeze gives you a reading. Great for beginners building up grip strength gradually.
What’s the difference between this and a grip strengthener?
Grip strengtheners build strength through repeated squeezing. This device measures your grip strength with one squeeze. Think of it like a scale: one tracks weight, the other helps you lose it.
How do I track progress over time?
Test at the same time daily for consistency. Take 3 readings per hand and record the average. Check weekly, not daily, and compare trends over 4-8 weeks.
Is this suitable for left-handed users?
Yes. The symmetrical design works for both hands. We recommend testing both sides—many users find it useful to compare left vs. right strength levels.
